Nokia N97 – Can't beat this smartphone!

Nokia launched the N97 to strengthen their foothold and make their mark in the touchscreen market and keep their dominance in the smartphone sector going. The phone has a superb glossy body features and a side sliding QWERTY keypad opening which helps in typing messages and Emails faster. The structure is well stretched and has a large display screen for a joyous viewing experience.

Nokia N97 has a quad band support for its 2G network services. It also permits usage of 3G network services therefore this phone can be used globally and Internet usage would surely be of extreme quality so you can check your mail, read the latest news and gather the latest information, watch videos, stream music, interact on video calls/conference without having to bear lackluster quality.

It has physical dimensions of 117.2 X 55.3 X 15.9 mm and weighs 150 grams. The dimensions are superb but the weight could bother some as 150grams could be bulky in some peoples opinion but in my view its not much considering the hardware of the phone and also the inbuilt technology deployment. Additionally it has a side slider with QWERTY which also adds to the weight.

The display on this gadget measures 3.5 inches and is a TFT resistive touchscreen. Resolution is of 360 X 640 pixels and it can display an immaculate sixteen million colours. This display screen has helped me enjoy my favourite music videos, TV shows, movies etc. and I also enjoy putting various types of wallpapers which reflect the superb quality the phone has and the large assembly of colours that can be displayed. The quality of this display is further enhanced by using a proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, handwriting recognition and as mentioned before it has a full QWERTY keypad.

Internal memory on the Nokia N97 is of 32GB and also has a 128MB RAM with an additional storage space of upto 16GB by using a microSD memory card. This large and expansive memory space can hold huge volume of files which includes documents, music, videos, images, contacts, messages, applications and systems files are stored on the internal memory as well.

The phone operates on a Symbian OS with a processor speed of 434MHz which I've found to be very easy to use and an exceptionally smartly built help section. This can help a new user, a medium level user or even advanced user in understanding what all this superb device can do. I've also been using the A-GPS technology with Nokia Maps, which has helped me immensely as I have to travel around a lot for work. I can get the route to follow and also save time and fuel in the process. All courtesy my Nokia N97!
